BROUGH SUPERIOR FEATURED IN TASCHEN "COLLECTOR" BOOK
Two other pre-war models are featured in the first of the two volumes, including a Brough Superior SS100 that belonged to Lawrence of Arabia, one of seven owned by the speed-loving spy-adventurer. Also pictured and detailed are the first Brough Superior racer, an SS80 "Old Bill" and a splendid "straight-Four" sidecar. Brough Superior is featured prominently in this collector’s edition of 9,000 copies worldwide by Charlotte and Peter Fiell, design experts and authors of more than sixty books, most of them in the field of mobility.
This XL-sized book, 28.1 x 36 cm, traces a complete history of the exceptional motorcycle, from the Hildebrand & Wolfmuller of 1894 to the Aston Martin AMB 001 of 2020. A new tribute to Brough Superior and its contemporary activity in France, near Toulouse, in the perfect lineage of exceptional motorcycles manufacturing initiated by George Brough more than a century ago, since it is in the Brough Superior factory that Aston Martins on two wheels are designed, in active collaboration with the famous English brand.
Ultimate Collector Motorcycles, Taschen, Special Edition, limited to 9,000 numbered copies, Hardcover, 2 volumes in a slipcase, 28.1 x 36 cm, 9.40 kg, 940 pages, 250 €.
