Brough Superior motorcycle’s "raw forged" rims
Joining Castaingne was Pierre - graduate of the National Engineering School in Tarbes, France. Pierre was hired specifically to "run the machine," modifying the programs to shape the different types of rims from blocks of "raw forged" aluminum. Previously the wheels had been ordered from Italy, now they are made in-house at Brough Superior’s headquarters in Toulouse, France. Five standard designs exist for the different models: Lawrence, SS 100, Pendine, Anniversary and Aston Martin AMB 001. The future owner can select from several different finishes, anodized or polished. This finishing touch is completed by one of our expert craftsmen, Franck. Albert stated, "We are interested in keeping production in-house for technical reasons, but we also find it advantageous in terms of time management," he emphasized the "three-axis" machine’s capacity to produce bespoke parts, which opens new and exciting doors for creating "one-off" motorcycles.
