This is called the cherry on the cake. In addition to the two splendid new products presented on the Brough Superior stand at the Milan Motor Show, the French brand of exceptional motorbikes unveiled a no less exceptional piece: the engine that powers the Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro.

The sculptural 997cc twin-cylinder engine, which sits atop a pyramid displaying its specifications, is displayed on the Brough Superior stand between the new Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro and the new Brough Superior Dagger. It is this engine block, whose crankcases are no longer cast, but cut from two blocks of high-grade aluminium (5000 series alloy, with a high magnesium content), that is found in the heart of the Aston Martin sport bike.

Lighter and stronger, the twin-cylinder engine designed at Brough Superior plant and built at the Toulouse factory also offers a significant increase in power. With wet cylinder liners, ceramic coating and a six-speed cassette type gearbox, there is nothing too good for this magnificent engine, which is also intended to expand the Brough Superior range.
