Brough Superior in a film about Lawrence of Arabia
A century after the exploits of Lawrence of Arabia in the East, the writer-traveller Sylvain Tesson set out on the tracks of the adventurer on a motorbike. An epic story told in a film broadcast on Ushuaïa TV.
At the age of twenty, T.E. Lawrence, alias Lawrence of Arabia, left to visit the castles of the Crusaders in the Levant... An initiatory journey that would change his life and precipitate his role in the great Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire. Nearly a century later, an unprecedented expedition led by the writer Sylvain Tesson and Thomas Goisque revisits the history of this epic in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
The director Clément Gargoullaud followed with his camera all the stages of the journey, which is the subject of a film called "Lawrence of Arabia, A Dream of the Orient" broadcast on Monday 28 November at 8:45 pm on Ushuaia TV, which ends with the reconstitution of Lawrence’s duel with a Bristol biplane at the handlebars of his S.S. 100, as told in his book The Mint.
